  • You knew me before I was created, Jer. 1:5

  • I've been set apart, Jeremiah 1:5

  • I've been born with a specific purpose, Jeremiah 1:5; Eph. 2:10

  • I am created in God's image, Genesis 1:27; Gen. 5:1;Is. 43:7

  • I am greatly loved by God, John 3:16,17; Rom. 1:7; Eph. 2:4; Col. 3:12; 1 Thes. 1:4

  • I am accepted in Christ and dearly loved, Eph. 1:6

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

1. How does it make you feel knowing that God knew you before you were created in your mother's womb? (Jer. 1:5). What does it mean to know someone? If God knew you before you were born, how is that possible?

2. How does it affect the way you see yourself, knowing that God esteems you, and has said you are made very complex, unique and wonderful? (Ps. 139:13-14)

3. Now that you understand God has created you with a specific purpose or assignment in mind, does that make you curious to find out more? How might you go about discovering your purpose? (Jer. 1:5; Eph. 2:10)

4. Do you find it reassuring to know that you are greatly loved by the Creator of the Universe? How does it make you feel? Are you interested in getting to know God better, knowing that He has good thoughts towards you? (Jer. 29:10,11)

Anyone can lead a small group. Lessons are posted with the intent to encourage group discussion. It's important that everyone has an opportunity to participate because it helps form new relationships. We all learn from one another.

We also realize that we want to give people the opportunity to accept the Lord if they are ready. Listen for the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Some people may or may not feel comfortable praying in front of others. They may prefer to pray in the privacy of their own home.

PRAYER OF SALVATION:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving me. Thank you for accepting me just as I am. Thank you for doing everything possible to bridge the gap between You and me. Thank you for Your forgiveness, and for eternal life. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to be my Lord and Savior. I believe You are the Son of God that died on the cross and rose again in victory. I confess You are God. Please let Your Holy Spirit live inside of me and lead me into more truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
